First light on the Pillars
I got up at 4:30 this morning to hike up and catch sunrise on the granite towers that Torres del Paine is famous for.  Unfortunately, the weather that Torres is also famous for got up with me and the overcast didn't look to dissipate until well after the sun came up.  At least I brought along enough stuff to make breakfast and coffee -- I could wait it out.

I've had this vision in my head for the last several months of the picture I've wanted to take here.  I didn't get it and in that I am mildly disappointed.  However, the sunrise was amazing with shafts of yellow slicing through gaps in the clouds and a partially hidden Torres in the background.  A most impressive sight watching the sunrise evolve in the mist.
