A Redefinition of Crazy Design

I've seen some crazy tech designs in my life.  For the most part, I like designers that ride on the bleeding edge -- they move gadget design forward; new and better tech gadgets are born as a result.  But unless this unit comes with Bluetooth speakers that float along side it, this MP3 player will not be one of those forward-moving gadgets.

Now-a-days, MP3 players battle in the sub-one-ounce class.  They have been built into jackets, cell phones and anything else manufacturers can get a hold of.  It makes you question the concept, however cool, of having your MP3 player float along side you like the subservient robot it is.  Yes, float, helium balloon style.  Just in case your pocket was occupied by your MP3-enabled cell phone.
